About the Event

In the lead-up to our one-day Data Matters event in September 2025, Housing Technology is delighted to host Housing Tech Live – The Power of Data 2025 on Tuesday 1 July. This free one-hour online event will feature two data-focused presentations and Q&As from Aspire Housing and Southway Housing on machine learning, data aggregation, data standardisation and the upskilling of housing providers’ data teams. This is a great opportunity to find out how your peers are tackling the problems of data within the housing sector.

Aspire Housing: Using machine learning for no-access visits & housing insights

Speakers: Helen Portman, Data & Insight Business Partner, and Lynsey Whittingham, Data Quality Manager, Aspire Housing

(Full synopsis to be confirmed) Aspire Housing will delve into its use of machine learning (specifically Python) to identify patterns and predictors of no-access visits. By leveraging data from multiple sources, including tenant demographics, historical access records and communication logs, the housing provider will explain how it generates actionable insights to improve its repairs operations and tenant services.

Southway Housing: The importance of upstream data standardisation

Speaker: Yannick Daclinat, Data Insight Manager, Southway Housing

(Full synopsis to be confirmed) Discover how the early ‘upstream’ standardisation of your data creates a rock-solid foundation for growth, innovation and governance. Southway Housing’s presentation will also show you some practical ways to foster agile teams capable of embracing data-driven housing operations. In this session, Yannick will share practical insights and real-world examples from the housing sector, highlighting how standardisation at the source supports governance, regulatory reporting, and ultimately, better services for residents.
