Newydd Housing opts for innovative mail service

Newydd Housing Association has signed with CFH Total Document Management for its Docmail hybrid mail service.

As with other hybrid mail services, Docmail lets customers compose their letters, manage address lists and do their mailings via their PCs; letters and mailings are sent electronically to Docmail, where the documents are then personalised, printed, enclosed and distributed.

Paul Roberts, chief executive, Newydd Housing Association, said, “We don’t have dedicated post room staff so large mail outs can really disrupt the day-to-day work of serving our customers. Docmail has enabled us to send out good quality information quickly and without the usual stress.”

As well as saving time and staff resources, hybrid mail is much cheaper than the traditional in-house alternative. CFH has calculated that, taking into account costs such as administrative time, stationery, print costs and postage, the average cost of producing and posting a standard item is 86p against an average cost for a one-sided letter of around 30p using Docmail.

David Broadway, managing director, CFH Total Document Management, added, “As one of the country’s leading secure printers, we offer complete peace of mind. Our secure factory is APACS accredited, with security features designed to protect sensitive data for cheques and bank statements.”
