400% faster surveys for Magna with PIMSS

Magna West Somerset has increased its completed surveys by almost 400 per cent following the introduction in 2009 of a handheld asset management system from PIMSS Data Systems. Despite operating in an area with widely-dispersed clusters of properties, Magna’s project surveyor has accelerated his rate of completed surveys from four to 15 per day with the PIMSS system.

With less paperwork requiring fewer visits back to the office and the ability to upload data directly into Pimss4Communities to save time and reduce errors, Magna’s staff now have more time to work on planned maintenance programmes and dealing with tenants’ enquiries.

Kelvin Walker, project surveyor, Magna West Somerset, said, “I can now concentrate on more productive activities. We have been able to bring our surveys up to date very rapidly and have more accurate data to work with.”

PIMSS’s web-based asset management system runs on a range of handheld devices, including PDAs, smartphones and tablet PCs.
