Capita buys iSoft for £23 million

Capita Group announced in December 2010 that it had bought iSoft Business Solutions for £23 million. iSoft Business Solutions made a pro-forma operating profit for its financial year to 30 June 2010 of £3.2 million on turnover of £17.7 million.

Paul Pindar, chief executive, Capita Group said, “iSoft Business Solutions broadens Capita’s penetration in the NHS market, both in the number of client relationships and the depth of our product offering. iSoft Business Solutions’ systems and expertise are also relevant to clients in our other core markets.”

In an email to iSoft Business Solutions’ customers, Eamonn Morris, managing director of iSoft Business Solutions, wrote, “As part of the Capita Group, we now have an exciting opportunity to further expand our customer base in non-health sectors, as well as benefiting from Capita’s support to underpin our current position in the health sector. While this is an exciting time for us, the key message is that this is ‘business as usual’.”

iSoft Business Solutions has now been renamed IB Solutions although the company said that all contact details would remain the same.
