City Response triples repairs & maintenance with InterNETalia

City Response, a housing repairs and maintenance contractor owned by Guinness Northern Counties, has tripled the number of responsive repairs completed each year using AccuServ software from InterNETalia, with 60,000 repairs now carried out per year as well as refurbishing 2,500 voids in the last 12 months.

City Response’s previous paper-based job control sheets for recording and reporting on key business information have been replaced with the AccuServ job costing software to streamline the maintenance, repairs and voids works on over 30,000 properties under its contracts. This has been augmented by Opti-Time workforce scheduling software from Xmbrace and PDAs for 140 City Response workers to access AccuServ while on the move. The AccuServ system also supports stock control and replenishment for City Response’s fleet of 220 vans.

Warren Goodall, business development manager, City Response, said, “Moving to AccuServ for stock control in our vans and stores has transformed our buying behaviour. We can now closely monitor our spend patterns, plus we have developed a strict policy for suppliers, bringing increased efficiencies across our entire business.

“Easy to access, comprehensive reports let us see immediately which jobs have been billed, how much has been billed and the cost of the materials. Metrics such as jobs completed per contract, financial value per job and any that are over 30 days old appear on the visual dashboard, allowing us to focus on potential problems before the situation gets out of control.”
