Coast & Country voices heard with SpeakInConfidence

Following feedback on a recent staff survey, Coast and Country Housing has selected SpeakInConfidence to provide confidential, secure communication opportunities between the four members of its leadership team and its 500 employees.

Esme Flounders, communications manager, Coast & Country Housing, said, “We are hoping SpeakInConfidence will help us improve scores for ‘do you feel able to engage with the leadership team’. SpeakInConfidence will allow anyone at CCH to send a message direct to any of the leadership team, who in turn are committed to respond to each and every message.

“SpeakInConfidence will provide a confidential platform for employees to voice any concerns they have, while giving senior managers the ability to respond specifically, yet anonymously. As communication continues, the employee can choose to remain anonymous, or can step forward and continue the conversation on a one-to-one basis.”

One of CCH’s reasons for choosing the third-party, web-based service was that around 50 per cent of CCH’s staff are field based and therefore don’t have access to the corporate intranet or even have a CCH email address.

Flounders added, “We reviewed solutions which could be used with our intranet, but we believed a third party anonymous platform would encourage more staff to speak out about issues that mattered.”
