Monthly software subscriptions are being offered by Impact Applications for its ImpactResponse repairs and maintenance software, removing the traditional upfront licence costs of new software.
Impact’s new SimplyMonthly licensing model includes the same services provided to its enterprise customers, such as customisation, installation and training, but spreads the costs over a three-year contract for easier budgeting. Impact said that no corners had been cut in the development of the new service and it guaranteed that SimplyMonthly customers would receive the same service as its enterprise licence customers.
Martin Taylor, managing director, Impact Applications, said, “All that has changed is the payment model; all other services and benefits remain the same. Clients simply sign up for a three-year subscription to our managed service, which includes hosting at one of our tier-one data centres, and we will spread the usual upfront costs over those three years. That means a flat monthly fee from month one.”
