Plus Dane’s £195k mobile contract with Kirona

Kirona has won a £195,000 contract with Plus Dane Group for a mobile workforce, dynamic scheduling and workflow solution. The first phase of the project involves 130 of Plus Dane’s 570 field-based workers using the Kirona application on their mobile devices for responsive repairs, planned maintenance and gas servicing. The second phase will cover the deployment of the application to 90 neighbourhood management staff.

As part of the contract with Plus Dane, Kirona will also manage the implementation of Xmbrace’s Opti-Time system for dynamic job scheduling, and helping with the integration between the mobile, scheduling and legacy systems, including Civica’s Universal Housing and Capita’s OpenHousing and OpenContractor.

Ian Kelly, senior application analyst, Plus Dane Group, said, “The implementation of Kirona’s mobile solution will let our staff access jobs and update back-office systems while out and about, reducing travel and administration and allowing them to spend more time with tenants.

“It will also automate many manual back-office processes and allow services to be delivered in a new way, such as for responsive repairs where we will now be able to raise new repair requests and arrange follow-up appointments on site.”
