Following two years of growth, Glasgow-based Queens Cross Housing Association has replaced its manual, paper-based HR processes with a web-based system from Access. The SelectHR tool will be used by QCHA to automate holiday requests and approvals and use workflow to make appraisals, health and safety, and flexi-time processes more efficient. The second phase of the implementation will include the installation of a training and development module within SelectHR.
Lynne Macdonald, HR manager, Queens Cross Housing Association, said, “As we grew, our manual processes became uneconomic and inefficient. We already have a very successful intranet and SelectHR will complement this, with self-service holiday requests, absence management and training requirements.
“The usability of the SelectHR forms and the fact we can build our own forms will make many processes easier. Once we’re benefiting from the efficiencies of the new system, we’re going to save masses of time across the business.”
