Castlehill & City South Manchester select Aareon

Castlehill Housing Association and City South Manchester Housing Trust (CSM) are both in the middle of implementing new housing management systems from Aareon.

Based in Aberdeen and managing 1600 properties, Castlehill needed to replace its previous housing management system in order to accommodate the organisation’s changing business requirements, particularly around planning and control, automation, task management, scenario modelling and forecasting, workflow and reporting.

Having chosen Aareon’s QL Housing and QL Financials systems, Castlehill expects the new systems to be operational by July 2010.

CSM is replacing the Universal Housing and Promaster asset management systems which it had been using since the transfer of 4500 properties from Manchester City Council to CSM in June 2008.

John McGrail, director of finance and resources, City South Manchester Housing Trust, said, “We looked at many of the established systems on the market and felt that QL Housing, along with the support provided by Aareon, was the package that best suited our needs.”

Once operational by April 2010, the QL Housing system is expected to be used by more than 80 CSM staff and integrated with CSM’s other business applications.
