Worcestershire-based Community Housing Group is focusing on streamlining its internal processes and improving customer service following the signing of a £100,000 contract with IBS OpenSystems.
With 5500 homes around Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport, Community Housing Group expects to see efficiency gains in its processing of invoices, payroll, job contracts, timesheets and other internal processes when it deploys IBS OpenContractor. It also includes a mobile working module for logging maintenance requests and distributing them via handheld mobile devices to staff in the field.
Community Housing Group has been using IBS ContractorPlus since 2000. When it decided to upgrade its system to improve tenant services, Community Housing Group short-listed IBS, the incumbent supplier, and Capita.
Andy Willetts, head of ICT, Community Housing Group, said, “It was a contest between IBS and Capita, but we ultimately decided on IBS due to our successful relationship, the greater functionality of the software, and the additional mobile working module, which enables us to offer our customers the best possible service.”
