Fabrick covers more with 1st Touch

Fabrick Housing Group is in the middle of switching its mobile systems supplier to 1st Touch following an expansion in the use of PDA-based technology throughout the company. Fabrick, which includes Erimus Housing and Tees Valley Housing as partner companies, will use 1st Touch software for both its responsive repairs and gas servicing operations.

Initial annual savings from the first phase of Fabrick’s move to 1st Touch are expected to be around £300,000. The same software is also under consideration for use by its voids operatives, housing officers, estate managers and supported housing team.

Ann-Marie Lenagh, head of ICT, Fabrick Housing Group, said, “1st Touch impressed us with the breadth of the solution and its clear understanding of our specific business requirements. At the moment the project is in the implementation stage and is running very smoothly.”

Fabrick reported that the main reasons for choosing 1st Touch were its system’s ability to accommodate all of Fabrick’s business functionality demands and the ease with which it could integrate seamlessly with Fabrick’s existing Aareon housing management system. The ability of 1st Touch’s systems to still work effectively in poor signal areas using its Smart Airtime technology was also a factor in Fabrick’s decision.
