Progress Housing has chosen Everon Group for the rollout of a digital telecare upgrade in around 500 of its independent-living homes. With the contract running until 2029, the rollout will ensure that the homes are ready for the analogue-to-digital switchover at the start of 2027.
As a cloud-based wireless solution, Everon’s system works via a ‘mesh’ which continuously monitors signals from the telecare units in each home and the schemes’ communal areas. The pendant or wristwatch worn by the tenants sends a signal when pressed to the housing provider’s alarm receiving centre and the on-site independent-living coordinator.
Tola Adesemowo, director of housing operations, Progress Housing Group, said, “With the national digital switchover approaching, this upgrade will help to ensure tenants in our independent-living schemes continue to receive the support they need.”
