Swan Housing’s 7-year deal with Capita Support

Capita Software Services has been chosen by Swan Housing Group to provide its web-based Capita Support application to give its service users personalised and instant access to housing and support services.

The seven-year contract with Capita will enable Swan Housing to give its users access to an end-to-end housing service, including support with the assessment procedure. In addition, Swan Housing’s support officers will use digital pens in conjunction with Capita Support to complete all housing support plans and assessments, removing the need to type up handwritten notes.

The information collected by support officers will be fed into one central point, holding all service user and service information. The system will also allow third-party agencies to refer to and have direct access to the system to streamline the housing process and contribute towards the Supporting People agenda.

Shalene Guildford, support services manager, Swan Housing Group, said, “To meet the needs of our customers and ensure a high quality of service, we are constantly exploring and investing in new technology for remote working.”

Roger Birkinshaw, housing director, Capita Software Services, added, “We are providing Swan Housing with a true case management system for all their clients receiving support services. This application is a one-stop shop of information for users which encourages efficient reporting and reduces the duplication of work. The adoption of digital pens is a refreshing and exciting development for a supported housing team.”
