Trent & Dove Housing supports tenancies with Mobysoft

Trent and Dove Housing has improved its financial performance and reduced its arrears by £70,000 since the start of the pandemic based on its use of Mobysoft’s RentSense software.

Jasper South, interim senior housing consultant, Trent and Dove Housing, said, “Enabling tenants to maintain their tenancies was a key part of our strategy during the pandemic. We were fortunate to already have a range of support options that we could expand on, so our communications have been updated to reflect this, softening the language and highlighting the financial assistance that’s available, such as discretionary housing payments.”

Trent and Dove Housing used RentSense to identify the tenants most likely to need additional support during the pandemic, enabling its income team to intervene as early as possible.

Pam Bowley, revenue collections manager, Trent and Dove Housing, said, “In addition to the pandemic, we have faced other challenges during the past year, including a big fall in housing benefit and being down by two income-team members. Despite this, our income team has done phenomenally well and beaten their pre-pandemic target, resulting in a reduction of £70,000 in arrears.”
