North Devon Homes is changing the management of its repairs, compliance and asset information after choosing Totalmobile’s Field First software as part of its programme to modernise housing operations and replace legacy technologies.
When NDH’s asset management system reached the end of its life, the housing provider used the opportunity to redesign how its repairs, compliance and asset management work together in order to create a better operating model to support its customers, colleagues and future investments.
Martyn Gimber, chief executive, North Devon Homes, said, “By bringing repairs, compliance and asset management together within Field First, we’re giving our colleagues the tools, information and visibility they need to deliver the best possible services.”
The Totalmobile software will introduce dynamic scheduling, integrated work-order management, stock management, job costing, repair diagnostics and consolidated invoicing. It will also cover void management, cyclical servicing, property compliance and regulatory requirements, including Awaab’s Law, electrical safety regulations, the Housing Health and Safety Rating System, the Decent Homes Standard and SAP10.
David Webb, managing director for Housing and facilities management, Totalmobile, said, “Housing providers are no longer looking at repairs, compliance and asset management as separate challenges. They’re now asking how those services can work together to give teams a complete picture of every property and every resident.
“For most housing providers, replacing a legacy system is a rare opportunity to rethink how the organisation operates. North Devon Homes chose to build a more connected operating model, creating the visibility needed to support better decisions, strengthen compliance and help deliver better services for customers.”
