Plus Dane’s £6.3 million retirement complex in Cheshire is using RFID fobs and cards from Salto Systems to replace keys to not only make life easier for residents and staff but also to give the housing provider greater access control and auditing.
By replacing keys with Mifare cards and fobs for Plus Dane staff and residents, Salto has designed and installed a very secure and flexible access control system which has full auditing of entries and exits.
The system uses SQL software to comply with Building Control and Fire Officer requirements to prevent residents being locked in or out of their apartments as well as the ability for Plus Dane to track and audit how long external service providers, such as cleaners, spend in each apartment in the event of queries over the number of hours worked.
