£50,000 VerseOne web for RCT Homes

RCT Homes has signed a £50,000 contract with VerseOne Technologies to deliver a series of web sites and online initiatives to engage with people throughout Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Managing 11,000 properties throughout Rhondda Cynon Taff in South Wales, RCT Homes operates as a focus for local regeneration and improvement projects, such as free wi-fi access, job creation schemes, environmental maintenance, and ‘pump-priming’ of social capacity building projects.

RCT Homes’ ambition to be a central hub for the Rhondda Cynon Taff community means that the internet is an integral part of its communications strategy.

David Cartwright, marketing communications manager, RCT Homes, said, “We spoke to several web designers but they all struggled to come to grips with an organisation that deals with Mrs Thomas’s dripping tap on one hand and multi-million pound regeneration projects on the other. We realised that we needed a highly-experienced partner who understood our diverse needs.”

Based in part on its roster of over 50 housing customers, RCT Homes selected VerseOne and its Spearhead content management system in November 2009.

Using Spearhead, the web project encompasses a completely redesigned web site, several micro-sites and integrated social media. The project also includes the implementation of DataFish, VerseOne’s secure tenant portal, to deliver on-demand rent statements, online payments and repair reporting.

The project will be delivered over the next few months, with May 2010 set as a provisional completion date.
