Agamemnon Housing, a housing provider supporting the armed forces’ veteran community, has introduced Cosie Homes’ IoT devices and software, in conjunction with IoT Solutions Group, as a pilot project to improve its damp and mould risk management.
The pilot project was set up after a damp and mould survey identified insulation as a contributor to damp patches on internal walls. Agamemnon Housing first ensured its homes were being heated and ventilated properly then selected Cosie Homes as the best value-for-money option to deliver the required environmental monitoring.
Using Cosie Homes, teams can now monitor temperature, ventilation, heating and humidity, with data collected within a four-hour window to support faster triaging and earlier interventions.
Carl Dixon, CEO, Agamemnon Housing, said, “Accurate data collection enables us to identify problems early and promptly initiate surveys. This allows us to collaborate with tenants by providing guidance and encouraging healthy living.”
Emma Mahy, founder and CEO, IoT Solutions Group, said, “Housing providers are experiencing ‘compliance saturation’, particularly smaller landlords with fewer resources.
“The Cosie risk platform provides continuous, trusted evidence, starting with damp and mould and extending to other risks, such as Legionella water monitoring, and removes much of the administration burden.”
IoTSG and Totalmobile’s combined property insights
IoT Solutions Group has teamed up with Totalmobile to integrate its home environmental-monitoring solution, Cosie Homes, with Totalmobile’s Field First platform.
By connecting real-time property insights (IoTSG) with operational workflows (Totalmobile), housing providers can identify damp and mould risks earlier, prioritise the right interventions, reduce unnecessary visits and strengthen the evidence behind their compliance activities.
Emma Mahy, CEO and founder, IoT Solutions Group, said, “When data from our Cosie Homes solution feeds directly into Field First, housing teams can see their emerging risks earlier and act on them better.”
David Webb, managing director of property and facilities management, Totalmobile, said, “Bringing IoTSG’s property-condition insights into Field First helps teams to make better decisions about where to act, how to prioritise resources and how to evidence progress.”
