GCH slashes ‘repeat repairs’ with Mobysoft

Gloucester City Homes has cut its ‘repeat repair’ visits by 25 per cent and saved £42,000 during the first six months of using Mobysoft’s AI-powered RepairSense application and Damp & Mould module.

Lee Duty, director of homes and sustainability, Gloucester City Homes, said, “Instead of just repairing the same problem again and again, we’re now confident about deciding about whether something needs replacing altogether because RepairSense gives our teams the data they need to make informed decisions.”

Before implementing RepairSense, the housing provider grappled with a large number of repeat repairs, had difficulty tracking the quality of its repairs and was faced with rising costs. With Mobysoft’s solution, GCH now conducts monthly performance reviews and workshops based on real-time insights, allowing it to reduce unnecessary visits and optimise staff time.

Paul Haines, director of data, systems and change, Gloucester City Homes, said, “Before RepairSense, we didn’t have a system to alert us to problematic repeat repair jobs or get to the root causes quickly. Now, our data-led approach is helping us make smarter decisions across the board. Mobysoft has been an outstanding partner – if I could, I’d buy all my software from them.”
