Calico Homes cuts arrears with RentSense

Calico Homes has reduced its arrears to 2.4 per cent after its deployment of RentSense, alongside its former-tenant arrears falling to 1.9 per cent.

Calico Homes’ income team is primarily using RentSense to focus on its tenants needing the most support, resulting in the team’s weekly caseload falling from 1,200 to 870 arrears cases.

Hayley Crook, income services manager, Calico Homes, said, “The data insights from RentSense have been incredible. A single report previously took a day and a half to generate but now it only takes 10 minutes. RentSense’s ability to proactively identify tenants at risk has been transformational, with tangible results in both arrears reduction and tenancy sustainment.”

Calico Homes is also using Mobysoft’s Assisted Automation software for better tenant engagement. Since its implementation, the housing provider has conducted 35 campaigns and made almost 10,000 tenant contacts, with targeted messaging leading to an average reduction in arrears of £315 for 10 per cent of the engaged customers.
