Darlington Council cuts arrears & boosts FTA collections with Mobysoft RentSense

Darlington Borough Council has cut its arrears from over £1m to £885,000, a reduction of £145,000, following its use of Mobysoft’s RentSense software for its income collection processes.

The council has also doubled its collections from former tenants’ arrears, from £81,000 to £187,000 in one year, alongside a caseload completion rate of 91 per cent by its income team.

Sarah Williams, income team leader, Darlington Borough Council, said, “RentSense has helped our staff to better understand the ‘why’ behind many of our arrears cases. RentSense gives us the ability to focus early on the right cases – when you leave it too long, the arrears build up and it’s harder for the customer to recover.”
