North Lincolnshire Homes scans the future with ORS

One year after North Lincolnshire Homes partnered with Optical Record Systems to implement electronic document management and remove all historic paper files and manual processes, the housing provider has reported the successful deployment of the new EDM system for both tenants and staff.

Mat Ashmore, technical support manager, North Lincolnshire Homes, said, “We needed a solution that would allow us to change our culture away from paper records and processes without inconveniencing tenants, and ensuring full acceptance from our staff. We chose ORS due to its consultative approach and knowledge within housing.”

Joe Pettit, business development manager, Optical Record Systems, said, “Over the last year, we have jointly achieved all of the project requirements, including the removal and capture of 1.5 million paper records, implemented integrated EDM and workflow software, as well as a variety of post scanning services.”

NLH marked the anniversary with the completion of a ‘getting to know you’ survey to all of its 10,000 tenants, with the whole process from outbound mail to receipt and data capture handled by ORS’s ‘mailroom services’, demonstrating its successful transformation from paper to electronic document management.
