Having implemented Aareon’s QL Housing system in 2006, Erimus Housing and Aareon have now worked together to specify, develop and deliver a mobile PDA-based addition to the system.
Via hand-held computers, QL Mobile provides field-based staff with direct access to information held in the QL Housing system, enabling jobs to be allocated more efficiently and completed faster.
Erimus typically receives 2000 calls each week, 70 per cent of which concern repairs, highlighting the importance of improving its processes. After the introduction of QL Mobile, Chris Smith, managing director, Erimus Housing, said, “Productivity on repairs has improved from around 6 per cent with the old system to an incredible 86 per cent.”
David Jamison, operations manager, Erimus Housing, added “There have been cases where a call has come into the office at 10am, and the tenant has received a knock on the door at 10.30 the same morning.”
